What is Express Entry?
It’s an online system managed by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to select skilled workers based on their skills, education, work experience, and language ability.
Main Programs Under Express Entry
There are 3 programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
👉 For professionals with foreign work experience - Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
👉 For skilled trade workers (electricians, plumbers, etc.) - Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
👉 For people who already worked in Canada
How Express Entry Works
1. Check Eligibility
You need:
- At least 1 year work experience
- Good English (IELTS) or French score
- Education (minimum diploma/degree)
2. Create Express Entry Profile
You submit details like:
- Age
- Education
- Work experience
- Language score
3. Get CRS Score (Ranking System)
Your profile gets a score based on the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System):
